This part of the web is dedicated to the celebration of various physical environments and subjects that have given me pleasure. My instrument of choice is the camera (as opposed to prose and/or other art forms). I would like to make it clear that the camera, when in my hands, is used only as a tool to document moments, situations, places and subjects. Photography as an art form I leave to others who find personal expression in nuances of composition, light and shadow, textures, colours, atmosphere and emotion.
This site has two purposes. Firstly it is a gateway to a number of sites that highlight all that is Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA. Vancouver and the Lower Mainland of BC have been my home for 25 years and have provided me with much visual stimulation that has been enthusiastically recorded. Secondly this site is a workshop containing imagery that has not YET found a home on its own website but is nevertheless of interest to myself and hopefully to others as well. The workshop will always be a work in process and transition. The format is freestyle and may vary from page to page to suit the circumstances.
